Improvements in Version 1.11

The game has been updated to version 1.11 adding the following new features:

Market Revision

This is the section that has been changed more deeply on this update. The main purpose is to regulate and normalize the transactions. Until today with too many irregularities and cheats.

  1. Limit to the maximum sale price of an employee or piece. This is fixed by the system depending on its market price.
  2. Limit on the minimum sale price of an employee or piece. This is also fixed by the system depending on its market price.
  3. Buying back of pieces by the system. To compensate the minimum sale price limitation. When you discard a piece the system will give you back the total amount of “minimum sale price” for that piece.
  4. Market Commission. It’s an amount between 30 and 0% discounted from the final sale price. It is applied to all those transactions where the employee or piece has not been at least 9 months on the team. The more weeks that the piece or employee have been on the team the shorter the commission will be. And after 9 weeks the commission will be 0%.
  5. Corrected a bug that made some transactions end in too huge amounts of income for the sale.

Sponsors Revision

  1. It is now easier to get all the sponsors.
  2. There is no strange offers, such as when a sponsor was offering an sponsorship offer for a piece it was already sponsoring.

New Simulator Version

There is now a new version of the simulator with the following new features:

  1. Corrected a bug causing collisions on pit lane. From now on, even if the drivers of the same team happen to meet up in a pit stop, they will not suffer any damage. Obviously this does not imply that they loose some extra time.
  2. Revised the AI algorithm to make easier the overtake process. When a car is overtaking other cars that are on a lost lap, these pilots will be kinder and let him overtake more easily.
  3. Improved the fuel consumption algorithm. This will allow a more accurate calculation of the fuel used. Avoiding the strange problems when a car was going into pit too soon.

New Product Hours Time Pool

You can now go to the items shop and find some new products that will allow you improve your R&D. These consist of time pools for the R&D. You will be able to use this extra hours and evolve your pieces faster.
For further information go to the R&D screen. Enter the development hours and accept, a small window will pop up explaining how does the system work.

It’is been sometime since the last time we informed you about the upcoming versions we are working on. So let’s try to make a brief explanation of the updates that will follow. Some of them will be installed in a few days and some others may take some more time to appear:

Improvements to appear in few days

Market Review

After some time monitoring the flow of money in the market we discovered a bug that will be corrected quickly.

  • Incomes of large amounts. Every so often the system added a large amount of money to a random team under the concept of transfers. This led to have some teams with large sums of money from one week to another. It has been fixed.

Review of the sponsors

Now the sponsorship system will review the active bids more frequently and distribute in a more optimal way. The goal is to make it easier for managers to have the maximum of 4 sponsors and generate less repeated offers on the same concepts.

Mid-term improvements

Simulator improvements

The racing simulator will improve a lot:

  • We have fixed the problem of collisions in the pit lane. Occasionally the drivers increased their damage during the pitstop, with this correction we avoid this unpleasant situation.

  • Revised AI algorithm for faster overtaking. Now drivers being overtaken with lost laps cause less disturb and are overtaken faster.

  • Skids Detection System. This improvement will show an extra information to managers so they can setup their cars better. Now you will know when your car skids and the severity of the skid.

  • Immediate abandonment notice. No more waiting until the end of race to know if our driver has left, we’ll know at the time.

  • Improving the calculation of consumption of the car. Allow better calculations for the managers.

Big news in the medium term

We’re working on it at this moment and we have a prototype working …. what? We are preparing a live timing player in 2 Dimensions to follow the broadcast with more information than we currently have.

It will be a Flash viewer, and besides the current timesheets it will show in real time the location of all the cars in the circuit, the gear engaged by your cars and the speed on each part of the circuit…. in real time!

But as some of you won’t believe it until you see it, we let you here a preview of the prototype… we will upload more videos to show different race incidents.
